Geomechanical Modelling for Mangahewa Field Development Well Planning and Reservoir Stimulation - PMP 38150

Login to download

The geomechanical model for the Mangahewa Field (PMP 38150) has been revised and updated, using data from 12 existing wells, and data from an extensive campaign of new laboratory rock mechanics testing. In addition, extensive data from the pumping, fracturing, and stimulation work on many of the wells has been considered. Based on the new analysis, the main conclusions are that the state of stress inferred for the Mangahewa Field now has a slightly lower relative magnitude of SHmax, and the rock materials have been confirmed to have lower UCS than inferred previously, and more variable (generally higher) internal friction.
