Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) on samples from Moki-1, Manaia-2A, Maui South-1 and Amokura-1

This report discusses Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) testing undertaken by OMV New Zealand Ltd. on samples from four wells in PEP 60093, PEP57075, and PML 381012, offshore Taranaki Basin. The purpose of the study was to test the UCS of representative samples to help guide the drilling of the proposed Gladstone-1, Toutouwai-1, and Maui-8 wells. UCS data acquired during this study will assist with core-head selection with a view to optimising rates of penetration and therefore potentially reducing rig time and costs.
