Drilling of production well Tui-2H commenced on 23 December 2006, in PMP 38158, offshore Taranaki, North Island, New Zealand. The primary geological objective of Tui-2H was to intersect and complete for production the Kapuni F10 Sand. On the 5 of February 2007 a total vertical depth of 3659m was reached, subsequently the well was completed on the 20 of February 2007. The well was opened up for flow to the FPSO Umuroa on 30 July 2007.
