Murcott-1 Well Abandonment Report

This well abandonment report prepared by inGauge Energy Australia, on behalf of Comet Ridge Limited, details the reasoning behind the plugging and abandonment of the Murcott-1 well, PEP 50100. Murcott-1 was spudded 02.05.2001 to assess the coal seam gas potential of the Brunner Coal Measures, and was completed 07.06.2001, reaching a total depth of 371.4 meters. The well was dry with no signs of gas to surface, and no pressure or gas has been recorded during subsequent inspection or maintenance. Abandonment operations commenced 18.06.2024 with site remediation completed 04.07.2024.
