Kiwi Well Evaluation Ltd was engaged by L & M Energy Ltd to perform an evaluation of the Mt Messenger Formation within PEP 53247. This formation was encountered by wells Tariki North-1, Tariki North-1A, Kahili-1 and Kahili-1A. Kahili-1A was selected as the preferred well for petrophysical analysis. The Reservoir and Potential Pay Continuity Cross Section (part 4 of report) indicates that a thick, continuous sandstone sequence (MMK-1) is likely to be present throughout the permit. Wells drilled within the permit are likely to intersect thinner less extensive sandstones some of which may contain producible hydrocarbons.
