Cheal-A10 is a deviated exploratory-appraisal well designed to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential of an upper Miocene amplitude anomaly in PMP 38156. The primary target of the well was the in the Urenui Formation. Cheal-A9 was drilled by Ensign Rig 19, and was spudded on February 27, 2012. A total depth of 1577m MD was reached (1548.4m TVD) on 2 March 2012. Fair oil shows were encountered while drilling through the reservoir target, and after wireline logging the well was cased, completed and perforated as a Urenui Formation producer.
