GeoMechanics International, Inc. (GMI) was commissioned by New Zealand Oil and Gas Limited (NZOG) to characterise the pore pressure and fracture gradient profilefor the planned Kaupokonui-1 well in the Kaupokonui prospect, South Taranaki Basin. The primary objective of this analysis is to provide NZOG with a better understanding of the pore pressure and fracture gradient in the study area so that expensive porepressure issues and fluid losses may be avoided in the planned well. Data from four offset wells was used in this study.
