The Ohanga-2 ST-1 was proposed as a sidetrack from the existing Ohanga-2 wellbore to test the viability of zones within the Matapo and McKee Formations. The Tikorangi and Mangahewa formations were secondary targets. Ohanga-2 ST-1 was kicked off on the 1st of July 2010 within onshore Taranaki Permit PMP 38161 (Turangi). The well was drilled and completed using Tiger Drilling Rig # 1; and took 57 days to reach a total depth of 3739m MD. After wireline logging, the well was cased and completed for future testing.
