MR1P7 and sidetrack MR1P7 BR1 is one of five oil producing wells drilled as part of the Maari field development campaign within PMP 38160, offshore Taranaki Basin. The well was spudded on 12.12.2008 reaching a depth of 3211m (MDBRT) on 08.06.2009 before a sidetrack (BR1) was initiated due to the well bore exiting the reservoir. MR1P7 BR1 was kicked off at 2889m (MDBRT) on 08.06.2009 reaching a TD of 4234m (MDBRT) on 10.06.2009. All well objectives were achieved as outlined in the MR1P7 Drilling Program and MR1P7 BR1 was completed as an oil producer.
