Awakino South-1 and -1 ST1 Well Completion Report

Well completion report for deviated exploration well Awakino South-1 and Awakino South-1 ST1 in PEP 38479, offshore north Taranaki, New Zealand. Awakino South-1, spudded 30th Aug 2008, reached a total depth of 2606m AHBRT on 2nd Oct 2008 before being sidetracked as ST1. Awakino South-1 was sidetracked due to the Geo-pilot twisting off, leaving the Geo-pilot tower shaft and bit in the hole. Awakino South-1 ST1 kicked off on 9th Oct 2008 from 2509m AHBRT and reached a total depth of 3459m AHBRT on 1st Nov 2008. The well encountered hydrocarbon shows in the Mangahewa and intra-Turi Formations and was plugged and suspended before the rig was released on 15 November 2008.
