In 2005 Todd energy acquired a 90 square km 3D seismic reflection survey over the Te Kiri prospect, in PEP 38749, southwest Taranaki. The study was conducted in two phases; the first phase was a multi-horizon mapping of the pre-stack time migration data prior to the pre-stack depth migrated modelling. This provided the constraints for the interpretation of the geological units in the region. The second phase was conducted after the pre-stack depth migrated modelling; it provided interpreted preliminary depth maps of reservoir horizons in the Moki and Mangahewa Formations.
