Re-entry operations were initiated on the 26th of April 2005.; The rig used for the cleaning out of the top half of the hole (above the bridge plug at 568m) was a non-flameproofed mineral coring rig. The second rig was a Failing 1500 HD converted to run as a top drive and supplied by CW Drilling of Motueka which commenced drilling from 568m and drilled through to TD 782mTVD on the 8th of June. At this point it was decide to circulate the well and since the well was flowing gas and some fluids, it was decided that the skin effects and permeability damage noted on the reservoir engineering reports may have been ameliorated over the intervening period since the well was originally drilled. Drilling operations were thus terminated and the well shut in for a pressure build up test.
