Tuhara-1B was a re-entry and sidetrack of Tuhara-1, intended to intersect the Tunanui Sandstone target higher on the crest of the Tuhara Anticline. Tuhara-1B was kicked off on the 13 June 2002, by milling a slot in the 9-5/8in casing at 3586-3610 ft. The well interested the Tunanui Sandstone at 6219 ft and continued to 6300 ft. DST 1 was conducted, but the well failed to flow. Drilling resumed to 7117 ft, with the base of the Tunanui Sandstone at 6786 ft, followed by claystone-dominated Waingaromia Mudstone. A test string for DST 2 was made but did not flow. No wireline logs were run. The well was plugged and abandoned on the 9 July 2002. Report includes Notice of Intention to Drill.
