Republic New Plymouth-4 was re-entered to test the fluid properties and productive potential of the Blenheim interval (675-681 m RKB) which has previously tested for a short duration at low rates in 1976. Republic New Plymouth-4 was re-entered on the morning of 21 February 2000 and was completed on 26 February 2000. A total tubing depth of 693m was reached on the 24th. Perforating was completed between 675-681 m AHBKB. 4 barrels of oil were recovered.
