General discussion on stratigraphy and structure of the Magaone uplift. Structurally, the portion of the Mangaone Uplift covered by this report is an expressed and faulted dome. Dips on the flanks are moderate to steep, and the plunge is adequate to give closure along the faulted blocks as well as on the main axis. The E flank has been interpreted as faulted between the Tunanui sandstone and the Morere sandstone. A fault could be present without materially changing the structural picture in the area of possible oil accumulation. The surface structure is favourable for the accumulation of petroleum, and the faulting neither at the flanks near axis is considered to be an adverse feature as sealing could take place and escape of trapped oil prevented.
