McKee-6, a deviated well, was drilled in PML38086 to increase the McKee Fields production rate and ultimate recovery. This would be by providing an improved drainage pattern in the central part of the field. McKee-6 was drilled from the McKee A site and was deviated to the west about 330m from the wellhead. The well was plugged back to 1634m AHBKB and deviated as McKee-6A to a down-dip target about 250m west of the wellhead. McKee-6A drilled the McKee Formation between 2164m and 2243m AHBKB and reached a TD of 2272m AHBKB. McKee-6, 6A drilled a very similar sedimentary sequence to that encountered in other nearby McKee Field wells. Petrophysical evaluation of McKee-6A shows the McKee Formation to be oil bearing. McKee-6A was completed as an oil producer and was in production from 1989.
