Results of hydrocarbon analyses at the Dominion Laboratory and related correspondence (1866 - 1930). The results show that paraffin is present, but in minor quality, with the difference between these results and prior studies, with respect to the paraffin, being only 1.4 percent. It is noted that the excess of oil, over that which is indicated in this report, is doubtlessly derived by destructive distillation from the oxy-hydrocarbons present. Laboratory analyses and extracts from Sir James Hectors Colonial Laboratory reports included.
