This report covers Canterbury Bight from Banks Peninsula to Moeraki Point south of Oamaru and has been mapped to a scale of 1:250,000. The results combine an interpretation of this years survey with a re-interpretation of the relevent sections from the previous surveys in 1966 and 1967. Sufficient anomalies were discovered to warrant a further programme in which the three major features should be detailed extensively. At the same time the programme can be readily extended to cover some of the smaller anomalies particularly since these could involve reef development. The required data quality could readily be obtained with an air-gun source.
