Geological assessment (structural and stratigraphical) of the Ruatoria area together with correspondence on the drilling programme. In this report the stratigraphy of area 33 is outlined, and show that any test would commence close to the top of the Tapuwaeroa Series of Upper Cretaceous age; as this formation is 2000 ft thick, as far as known and is underlain by the unpetroliferous Raukumara beds, all drilling must therefore be comparitively shallow. Almost from the commencement the drill would enter petroliferous beds. Report (26 pages) with appendix (16 pages) and various correspondence.
