Eleven rock samples and one oil seep sample were analyzed. With one exception the samples are rated as sources primarily of gas and condensate. The exception is the Eocene sample M328 from South Bravah Wai-har River, and this is rated as potentially a very rich source of oil and gas. The gas-prone ratings are based in part on the predominantly woody kerogen, associated with secondary amounts of coaly and herbaceous materials. The source-type ratings are also based partly on the heavy soluble matter compositions. The samples range from poor to very rich in source quality (richness). These ratings are based on total organic content, soluble organic matter, and type of source. The samples are all rated as immature on the basis of kerogen alterations lower than 2.
