Gravity Analysis on PEP60273 Onshore Taranaki

This report by GNS Science for Todd Energy summarises the gravity analysis on PEP60273, onshore Taranaki. Objective of the project is to assess the potential for gravity to help resolve the structure of the Taranaki Thrust Fault. The work completed includes compilation of gravity data, appraising the quality of the data, correcting the gravity data with modern elevation and terrain data, producing gravity map and 2D gravity modelling. Results of the work suggest that it is difficult to delineate Taranaki Thrust Fault using gravity data alone and other geophysical data such as seismic and magnetotelluric data is required for a better constraint on the thrust geometry.
