Rock Property Evaluation: Paleocene and Cretaceous Reservoir and Seal Rock - Taranga-1 and Witiora-1, Offshore Taranaki Basin

This report discusses the XRD, thin section, and MICP analyses of 5 sidewall core and 2 drill cutting samples from the Taranga-1 and Witiora-1 wells. The analytical program was designed to characterize the physical rock properties: textural parameters, detrital mineralogy, diagenetic alteration, visible pore space and the capillary properties of the pore structure. These data are then used to identify rock types, discuss reservoir quality, estimate seal capacity and provide an understanding of the properties that are affecting reservoir potential and seal quality.
