Fluid inclusion study of sidewall core samples from Witiora-1 and Taranga-1 wells, offshore Taranaki Basin

This five sample fluid inclusion study comprised four samples from Paleocene-aged sands in Witiora-1, and one granitic basement wash sample from Taranga-1. Analysis included identification and point counting of oil filled inclusions in quartz grains using fluorescence microscopy, determination of trapping temperatures through hominization temperature measurements, compositional determination of fluid inclusions through the freezing of the inclusion and investigation into the timing of inclusion formation.
