This report discusses the relinquishment of PEP38479, offshore Taranaki Basin. Both the Awakino-1 and Awakino South-1 wells in PEP38479 discovered accumulations of hydrocarbons. Based on various development concepts that have been modelled, Loyz determined that at this current time all options for the preferred development plan are not economically viable. An exploration history and geological summary are provided, along with development concepts.
