This survey was flown and compiled by Aero Service Ltd and interpreted by Geophysical Associates Pty. Ltd. A total of 1760 miles of single E-W flight lines were flown and are incorporated in this report. The analysis of the aeromagnetic data is based upon a method of model comparison developed by GMX which includes both intrabasement and suprabasement models representing thick prisms and thin plates of magnetic rock. Such rocks, igneous or metamorphic, ordinarily underlie a sedimentary section. The interpretation attempts to show the volume of sediment within the area that may be potentially productive of oil or gas by mapping this basement - sedimentary interface. 13 anomalous areas have been indicated of which 7 are considered worthy of further geophysical investigation.
