This report carried out by Fluid Inclusion Technologies is part of a 10 well study (PR5044-PR5053) across New Zealand. Fluid Inclusion Stratigraphy (FIS) is a patented technique that involves the rapid and complete analysis of volatile compounds trapped within fluid inclusions in well cuttings, core, or outcrop samples. Fluid inclusions are micron-scale, sealed fluid-filled cavities in diagenetic cements and healed microfractures that record hydrocarbon migration as well as local generation. FIS analysis produces depth profiles throughout the sampled interval of C1-C13 petroleum species and inorganic volatiles and can identify present and past hydrocarbon distribution and chemistry, seals, and proximity to charged reservoirs. The study comprises four stages: 1.Fluid Inclusion Stratigraphy, 2.Petrography, 3.API Gravity, Temperature and Salinity, 4. GC-GCMS and CSIA.
