Kea will acquire the Mercury 3D (118 sq km) seismic survey over PEP 52333 in Q1 of 2013. In order to ensure the 3D vessel can acquire data and line turn on the inshore portion of the survey area in the Northern Taranaki Bight, Kea contracted Seaworks to undertake a bathymetric survey of the south eastern corner of the proposed Mercury 3D seismic survey area. The bathymetric survey was designed to define the 15m seabed contour in reference to the lowest astronomical tide, as this is the safe operating cut off depth for the Voyager Explorer with all seismic gear deployed.
