Site survey report for the proposed Tuatara well located within PEP 38524, operated by AWE New Zealand Pty. Limited, offshore Taranaki Basin. The proposed drilling site is located in 51.4 m LAT water depth and comprises a gently southerly dipping soft clay. Within the area the sea floor included three distinct units within two stratigraphic horizons. Within the south-east of the survey area the risk of shallow gas is defined as probable, while at the site of the well itself the risk of shallow gas is defined as unlikely.
