Discussion report for the Miocene Prospect Mercury, within PEP 52333, Northern Offshore Taranaki Basin. At the time of this report, 575 km of mixed vintage (1973-1998) 2D seismic had been reprocessed and a study on the characteristics of the early Miocene Sandstone reservoir undertaken. From this information and wells located nearby, the source rocks within this area are presently mature and capable of producing hydrocarbons. Oil reserves within this permit are estimated to be between 30 and 120 MMBO.
