Final Seismic lnterpretation Report for PEP 38485 (Kora)

This seismic interpretation report summarises exploration from June 2005 to December 2010 in PEP 38485. Previous interpretation studies over the PEP 38485 area had failed to fully utilise all available seismic and well data, and while several wells had identified hydrocarbons and DHI¿s were evident on seismic, there are no economic oil or gas discoveries in PEP38485 or the surrounding Northern Taranaki Basin. After drilling the dry well Moana-1 targeting Tangaroa Sands, the primary interest in the permit returned to the Kora area, and the potential Miocene volcanic reservoir. This report details the successive steps taken to fully explore the permit and to determine whether or not the Northern Taranaki Basin is hydrocarbon generating. No further prospects are discussed in this report, and no recommendations for future work are discussed.
