Of all drilled and undrilled Mangaa Sand prospects in Todds Northern Taranaki PEP 38487, Mangaa West remains the largest valid structural closure at the Top C1 level. Amplitude and Elastic Inversion analysis has shown its potential to contain productive gas sands to be restricted to the structures crest. Therefore, and unlike the Karewa gas discovery located in nearby PEP 38602, its capability of containing a commercial gas resource is considered to be limited.
