In 2007 Trans Orient Petroleum contracted Paradigm Enterprises Ltd to acquire 111 surface geochemical samples from four leads identified in PEP 38349, Gisborne, North Island, New Zealand. The samples were sent to the Syft Technologies Ltd laboratory near Christchurch for hydrocarbon content analysis.
