Source Potential and Maturation in the Te Anau Basin

In February 2008 L&M Petroleum Ltd took six coal sediment samples and 16 sedimentary rock samples from outcrops in the Te Anau Basin, South Island. The samples were collected for chemical and petrographical analysis to gain a better understanding of source rock potential and maturity in the Te Anau Basin. 15 of the 22 samples have a TOC of between 1-10%.
