The primary objective of this project was to establish an interval velocity model for the two seismic lines provided by Bligh Oil & Minerals. This was in order to improve the over thrust imaging in the region of the Taranaki fault through pre-stack depth migration (PSDM). It was hoped that an improvement in imaging would help to determine the geometry of the basement thrust with more confidence. The lines input to the project were IP1696-01 and AR84-04/PR83-87-458 and an Exabyte tape (EX0913) is available.
