Report on the findings of the Petrex soil gas survey conducted for Petrocorp Exploration over a region of the East Coast Basin on the North Island of New Zealand.

The survey shows that most of the licence does not appear to be geochemically prospective, despite small numerous anomalies throughout the area. The central and southern portions of PPL38316 are evaluated as not geochemically prospective. The anomalies should be tested with a closer grid spacing; 250 - 500m is recommended whereas this survey was 2 km. The survey should be integrated with geological and geophysical data.
