As part of the Year 1 work schedule for PPL38501 a regional and detail soil-gas survey was carried out by Macpherson Geological Consultants for Hegelian Acceptances Ltd. Sampling lines were planned to test geological hypotheses but were limited by dense sub-tropical vegetation and, in the north, extreme topographic variation. The conclusion identifies three potentially interesting areas of anomalous ethene levels in the soil - follow-up seismic interpretation is essential to determine if any potential petroleum plays exist in this area.
