Final Report on Seismic Data Reprocessing PPL 38059 (Offshore Westland).

Interpretation of seismic line Line-22 (Teledyne acquisition 1971) processed by Mobil suggested the presence of a deep basement event. This event is significantly deeper than basement had previously been interpreted. The purpose of this data reprocessing project was to try and enhance similar deep reflectors on other seismic lines. The lines selected for reprocessing lie in the northern portion of the licence area. The reprocessing project led to new ideas about the early, tectonic history in PPL 38059 and how this early faulting controlled deposition through the Oligocene.
