Solander-1 Well Site. A Detailed Examination of the Seabed Data. PPL 38206.

Bathymetry, sidescan, and seismic data obtained on the Dec 1984 site survey of the SOLANDER site has been re-examined in detail for the area within 500m of the proposed well location. A bathymetric map at 1:2500 scale with contours at 1m intervals has been prepared. A map is also presented of the same contours with annotations describing significant seabed features as identified from the bathymetry and sidescan data. The seabed is likely to be hard except for a few small areas of sand which is likely to be no more than 1m thick. Several features with relief of 2-3m and slopes of 1:6 or steeper have been identified. Due to several of these being within 200m of the original proposed well location, it has been moved to a new site 260m WNW of the original location.
