The Tasman (1984) Seismic Survey was conducted by Whitestone NZ Ltd during the period April 27 - May 4, 1984 in PPL 38125, Taranaki Basin, NZ. The survey was comprised of 13 separate profiles involving a total of 303.8kms. 60 fold CDP seismic reflection data were recorded along all profiles. The survey was designed to investigate two structures in PPL 38125: The Durville Prospect offshore from Durville Island and the Nelson Structure in the extreme south of the permit. Several profiles were also programmed to investigate the area north of the Durville Prospect. This report presents a comprehensive description of the survey operations and results.
