This report examines the prospectivity of PPL 38204. Discussed are: Stratigraphy, Seal and Source, Hydrocarbon Occurences, Seismic Interpretation, and Structures and Faulting. It is concluded that because exploration results in the Great South Basin have not met expectations, the area is deemed to be one of high risk. It is therefore recommended that Block 38204 be surrendered without additional exploration. For the information of the government (Petrocorp) there are at least two potential drilling prospects, S. Tautuka and Long Point, that could possibly be enhanced by the addition of more closely spaced seismic detail.
