The findings of an exploration programme at the Laverton Creek Target, Parapara Project, Nelson, are presented. The programme was a follow-up of stream sediment anomalies delineated by previous work. It included geological mapping, soil and rock chip sampling, ground magnetics and self potential surveys. This exploration has not produced any targets immediately comparable in surface expression with that of the Upper Laverton Basin. It has produced indications that the particular style of mineralisation appears to prevail over a larger area. The report recommends a follow-up of the Fantail anomalies and the Kea area, as well as further pursuit of the Upper Laverton zone.
