This report describes the recent programme of drilling completed at the Ngarua marble quarry of Lime and Marble Ltd. The programme was aimed at proving adequate tonnages of low iron marble, suitable for use in glass manufacture. A plan of Ngarua quarry with drill holes marked, cross sections showing assay results and core logs are included. The drilling has proven a substantial tonnage of low iron marble, the boundaries of which have been defined. With this information the planning of quarry development may begin, to ensure economic recovery of this stone.
