Iron ore reserves of the Onekaka field, NW Nelson

This report describes in detail the geology and prospectivity of the Onekaka Field. It divides the field into three blocks: Parapara, Tukurua and Onekaka. Total ore reserves of the field are 9,500,000 tons of ore of an average assay value of a little over 40 % iron. Exploration completed over a period from 1938 to 1942 included geophysical observations, using magnetic, seismic and electrical methods, and systematic boring.
