This report by RSC for Mineralogy International Ltd discusses the activities conducted within EP 60886, located in the Taupo Volcanic Zone of the Waikato Region. Mineralogy and RSC conducted a scout exploration drilling programme in the Whirinaki exploration permit (EP 60886) from July–November 2023. Thirteen vertical diamond holes were drilled for a total of 2,105.7 m. Targeting was based on regional geological mapping, surface geochemical data, regional geophysics, an unsupervised clustering machine learning study undertaken in 2022, and a local ground gravity geophysical survey conducted in May 2023. A HARSH-style Li clay mineral system was not identified in the Whirinaki drilling programme, with drill samples from the Whirinaki EP lacking evidence for thick sequences of true lacustrine sediments and limited, if any, hydrothermal clay alteration.
