Final report to the N.Z. Mines Department on exploration licence 33392 Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

This report covers exploration over a year long period to November 1988. A regional reconnaissance programme was undertaken during the months of September and October 1988. The work programme involved literature research, compilation of a geological map and a regional helicopter-supported drainage geochemical survey. Pan concentrates and bulk sediment samples were taken. Assay results were disappointing with no samples considered anomalous or significantly encouraging to warrant further work. It is recommended that the licence be relinquished.
