This report assesses information available in terms of the feasibility of mining the Rotokaua Sulphur Deposit. It looks at the geology of the area, boreholes drilled, hydrothermal risks, the dewatering process, soil stability, the trial mining results, and further alternatives. It concludes the feasibility of mining sulphur cannot be determined until further data has been obtained. It recommends samples of ore from the main ore body for pilot extraction plant tests and tests to determine the feasibility of the dewatering techniques.
