This report from Paul Vidanovich summarises findings from a compilation and review of all geophysical data available in the region of permit MPP60531 in Waikato. Exploration targets the lithium prospectivity of hydrothermal and siliceous formations within the Huka formation across the Taupo Volcanic Zone. The review has used all available ground based and airborne surveys including gravitational, magnetic, radiometric, magnetotelluric, resistivity and electromagnetic data in combination with existing structural and geological models in order to identify potentially mineralised areas. A number of structural and lithological features and targets were identified and are proposed for follow-up field investigation to include geochemical surveys.
