This report discusses exploration work carried out on MEP56372, Southland, in the year leading up to July 26th 2019. Waikaia Gold Ltd (WGL) drilled 15 aircore holes to re-check the grades of adjacent holes and to observe lithologies encountered in the overburden to assist stripping concept studies. WGL also submitted the grades of 72 pits excavated in the quaternary deposits of the tributaries to the Waikaka Stream. WGL also undertook a resource estimate, using a Profit and Loss model which used real costs. A desktop study of stripping methodology which would address the technical problems experienced by L & M Mining in 2001/2 was also completed.
