EP57243 located at Ross, Westland was taken out by J Dunbier in April 2016 to explore for alluvial gold deposits hosted in gravels of the Old Man Group. The exploration target on Mt Greenland gained approval from DOC for 8 test pits, however a landslip during access work caused sedimentation in the Ross water supply and the West Coast Regional Council placed a cease-work order on the operation. This report discusses the literature review undertaken prior to the attempt at exploration.
