Kauaeranga Valley PLs 311261 and 311262 progress report to January 1987

This report summarises reconnaissance geological mapping and rock and stream sediment geochemical sampling completed over the prospect. This work was supplemented by an extensive petrological study. The results indicate broad areas of hydrothermal clay alteration. Within these, some areas of minor quartz vienlet development and associated geochemical Au-As anomalies have been delineated for further investigation. The report recommends more work in a number of areas.
